Red Rock

what if they're hungry?

My buddy

Top Golf

Top Golf in Vegas was a hoot. We filled up two booths with the Flock of Averills, the exchange students, Lauren and Kenzie's friend Ben and his family. It's fun to meet up on a different spot on the globe for an unplanned outing.

Guess who took this picture? (Wasn't me)

Vegas bound

While Kenzie went to San Fran, the other four of us headed to Vegas to visit Lauren and Sarah, and her clan.

San Francisco!

Once again we split our "family" vacation. Kenzie went to visit Janel, Ryan and Phil. Turns out that Ryan had to travel and Janel broke her elbow. Kenzie was thrilled to be part of the primary care plan for her favorite seven month old.

Champagne on ice

Bentley's job is to control the mayhem. He has a tough job.

Cone Cat

We thought we got Callie fixed in enough time to be healed before we went on vacation. We didn't realize that she wouldn't rest well. Or at all. The "sedatives" did not work. We had to swap out for a higher dose, and those caused her to hallucinate! She opened up her incision and had to go back in for surgery number two, which meant that she had to be coned for most of the time we were gone.

Here she is fully sedated, playing fetch.

Future Dawg?

Ready Coach!

Happy Valentines, I mean Friendship, Day

Cards by Cindy and Ermias.

Timbeeeerrrrrr.....

We had a bunch of trees fall in the snow and ice storm. Ed, Bob, Cindy, Sandy and the boys fell a couple of the remaining ones. Our yard looks like a training ground for a chainsaw factory.

Doing her sisterly soccer duty

Date with our little dude

(Notice in the background somebody else is having another date, sigh)

Soccer

Soccer games have started again. Mason goes all out. Eleven minutes in and he has the first yellow card of the season. Game two brings him at least three fouls. He just plays with his whole heart and I love that about him.

No goals yet, but he sure kicks it hard.

Brief visit

Coach Michael came into town for a quick visit. He is still Mason's all time hero and favorite coach.

Snow days

We had about 8" of surprise snow, which meant two snow days. The boys did snow angels in their underwear. Of course.
