Awesome games

Mason's team played the number two team in the league today. It was a very close and exciting game. Mason scored two goals in the first half, and with one minute to spare they were tied 3-3. Mason had a corner kick and curved it in. This picture is actually his goal, but that is not Mason. That is his teammate jumping out of the way to let it go in! They won 4–3, with Mason pulling a Hat Trick.

Kenzie and Ermias won their games too! Kenzie played both offense and defense, having a great game and giving it her all. Ermias seems to be figuring out how to compete in the moment and played a good game as well. His team won 5–0.

Fat plant

We have the best fed Venus's-flytrap around. Mason and MacKenzie frequently catch and hand-feed it bugs. It is the most entertaining plant we have ever had.

Fall soccer

Thursday night

Mason and I have a new ritual. On Thursday night I pick him up from his soccer practice and we find a new place to go out to dinner. It has also turned out to be the time that I hear every play-by-play of his best kick during soccer practice and, once again the greatest fish stories from Alaska. Last night he informed me that during Alaska he got to fulfill a childhood dream. When I asked what that was he replied, "catching a shark. "

These two....

Sister sitter

It's nice that we can leave the kids home alone now, and our little chef can whip up a meal like this chicken yakisoba!

More soccer

Last kid on white jersey on left...he's the biggest one out there now besides Will, the goalie. He's using his size much more strategically this year, only a few fouls but still a lot of kids bouncing off of him during play.
