Empathy

Poor Bentley ripped his toenail and had to have a bootie on it...and the cone of shame.

Washington DC

I had a work trip and my travel-niece joined me. We had a great time...just one disappointment, which was an anticipated journey across town to a restaurant that was closed! We made up for it with other fabulous meals. This was definitely an eating trip!

Happy 9th birthday Ermias!

I was in India, so Grammy and Cindy took the kids to Red Robin. Ermias was very happy with the drone!

Dawg Day

I taught a class at the UW today. Kenzie was my fabulous assistant, managing my presentation and handing out gifts. It was a gorgeous day. We got there a little bit early, had lunch in the U District and then walked around the campus.

Snowboarding

While we were gone Lauren took ermi snowboarding. At first he pitched a fit and wanted to go home but by the end of the 7 hours on the mountain she had to drag him off. 

Germany!

I had ambitions to write more but time is passing so I will just post photos for now of our time in Germany. It was a special time to spend with the Urbans in Braunschweig and Salzgitter. Lots of family time. 

The two grandmas didn't share a language but did find a special connection. 

And Thomas showed up in yet another country with us!
