Earl Averill Memorial Golf Tournament

Every year since 2000 my dad put together a charity golf tournament benefiting local youth in need. This year the auburn rotary hosted the first annual Earl Averill Memorial Golf Tournament in his honor. We only found out about it last minute, but put together several foursomes and auction items. The weather was gorgeous and the day was fantastic.

What happens when you ask your 12-year-old to take a picture of you.

THE party

We had planned to take a few of Mason's buddies over to the beach to celebrate his birthday, but that fell apart last minute. As it turned out, there was one last day of sunshine in the forecast on a Wednesday. And, neither soccer nor football had practice scheduled that day. So, what did we do? We invited both teams plus a few random other kids over, rented a 40 foot long blow up slip and slide, and ordered 15 pizzas.

Eighty five

Dad, we missed you today but we knew you'd like us to celebrate anyway. We threw a family party in your house. Mom has been working very hard to sell it, and should be done in a couple of weeks. We will miss the house too, but not nearly as much as we do you. Happy birthday and anniversary.  ❤️

Celebrating the twelve

Happy twelfth Mason!

Kenz and Mason recreated a classic in honor of his birthday.

Fancy

Cindy and I went to HRC black tie gala. No kids!

Cheers to the sale

Grammy is in the process of selling her house. We celebrated in Port Townsend a successful inspection.

Small fry

Mason is in the grey.

Roller coaster

Ermias and I went on his first roller coaster ride. He wasn't quite sure and I may have pressured him into it a bit. When we got all his words were "that was not fun."

But the after picture doesn't make it seem like he was too upset.

Too cool for school

Mom, don't smile.

School starts

We have a brand-new highschooler, middle schooler and third grader.
