Cramming in more than the stuffing

Our holidays seemed a bit rushed this season, mostly likely because they were incredibly rushed this season! I'm backward blogging, having gone on the longest hiatus from blogging in a very long time. But I can also say that we definitely packed it in!

The teenagers outnumbered the others this year in a very unorganized Thanksgiving gathering. We hadn't planned on much of a gathering, but, as always, the beach house was open! RocĂo, Borja's little sister is living in Vancouver for a year, very close to my work, so she and her roomie Lucy joined us. Sarah brought her exchange students. Devan and the Averill teams, including David and Daniel, all hung out. Lots of music, dancing, laughing - the perfect holiday plans. The rest of us cooked and cleaned! :)

Except for Bentley, he kept guard.

Reader

Mason has finally begun taking reading and school seriously. He reads 1,000 page books and retreats to his room to read for fun. What a change...and we are happy about it.

Chalk wall

Our kitchen is almost done. I know I've said that before, but I really mean it this time. Well, I hope anyway. In the meantime we put up a chalk wall and began decorating.

Grammy lost

Pretty sure he's officially taller now.

The Boys

I spent most of the day today figuring out this new hair style...

League champs

His team won the league! Not bad for a first year keeper!

Last drive

She got to pick the car on her last drive. Now she waits until she's 16 - then vroom vroom.

Sounders playoff

The Sounders had a home playoff game and a friend of mine gave me six extra tickets to a suite. Kenzie had to babysit, so she couldn't go, but David and Daniel were happy to fill in! Sounds won!
