Capitol

Museum of air and space

We hit a few museums today but our favorite was the Museum of Air and Space.

Windy city

DC adventure

We ventured to DC today on public transportation. Sarah was the chief commander in charge.

Easter egg hunt

We had an egg hunt for the five "kids." Sarah filled 200 plastic eggs in Charleston with candy and coins. And, to keep the interest level high one egg had a $20 bill. Ruby was the winner.

Matching shirts

Today was the day for our tacky matching shirts! We stayed in all day, except for a trip to the grocery store. For some reason the teenagers wouldn't join us.

Family dinners

We spent our first night out to dinner at Buddy's Crab and Ribs, then made Easter dinner in our house.

Take a picture please

I think Grammy hit the video button before taking our picture.

Swimming

As we are staying in Annapolis, MD right on the water, we knew it was only a matter of time before one or more of the kids ended up being thrown in. It took less than 24 hours, and Felix had Mason, Ruby and Sarita in the water. Sarita put up a good fight, much to the amusement of the responsible adults watching from afar.

First was Ruby.

Then Mason.

Then Sarita...but she didn't go down easy.

Then the final dunk.

Delayed start

Our plane was scheduled to arrive at Washington National but the landing gear had a failure so we got redirected to Dulles. The emergency squad greeted us "just in case." Alaska doesn't normally fly to Dulles so they didn't roll out the red carpet. Two hours and counting...

70s revisited

Some friends bought a 1970's house, so they threw a party to celebrate the era. Cindy, Felix and I got groovy with it.

Soccer dudes

It's weird to look at them at this age and realize that in 7-8 years they'll be high schoolers.
