Eighty five

Dad, we missed you today but we knew you'd like us to celebrate anyway. We threw a family party in your house. Mom has been working very hard to sell it, and should be done in a couple of weeks. We will miss the house too, but not nearly as much as we do you. Happy birthday and anniversary.  ❤️

Celebrating the twelve

Happy twelfth Mason!

Kenz and Mason recreated a classic in honor of his birthday.

Cindy and I went to HRC black tie gala. No kids!

Cheers to the sale

Grammy is in the process of selling her house. We celebrated in Port Townsend a successful inspection.

Small fry

Mason is in the grey.

Roller coaster

Ermias and I went on his first roller coaster ride. He wasn't quite sure and I may have pressured him into it a bit. When we got all his words were "that was not fun."

But the after picture doesn't make it seem like he was too upset.

Too cool for school

Mom, don't smile.

School starts

We have a brand-new highschooler, middle schooler and third grader.

Lizard

Mason has been on a mission for the last year to get a bearded dragon. It is a specific type of a lizard. Cindy and I have remained steadfast in our resolve that we are not going to have any lizards. However, as his birthday is approaching, he has been escalating. At first I got this text, which ended up being a joke with me as the butt.

Then he spent an entire half of a day researching the critter and preparing a 17 point (no joke) essay. It took him four minutes to read it to me.

Tonight as we went to pick up him and his football buddies. It was clear that he had recruited them to help. They each immediately started telling me why he should have the bearded dragon.

I said "I will buy frozen yogurt who tells Mason a lizard is a bad idea."  They each immediately flipped. He stayed quiet. #momwins.
